Jeralyn Colella Obituary

Jeralyn Marie (Bloomer) Colella, of Watertown, Massachusetts, born on November 26, 1948, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 77.

Jeralyn (“Lynn” and “Jeri”) was the beloved wife of William Michael Colella and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the oldest of five siblings and was known for her strength and deep love for her family.

Jeralyn attended St. Patrick’s High School in Watertown, and later graduated from Northeastern University.  She worked decades in the administration of care for the elderly, one of the many passions in her life.  Her inherited Irish spirit of humor, warmth, devotion and resilience touched many lives.

She is survived by her husband, William Michael Colella, with whom she shared a 56-year marriage; her daughter Amy Connor and son-in-law Thomas Connor of Winchendon; and her cherished grandson Kaiden Riordan Connor, who brought her immense joy. Lynn is survived by her sister Janice Ingemi and brother-in-law Greg Ingemi of Sudbury; her brother, the Hon. William F. Bloomer and sister-in-law Michelle Elias Bloomer of Watertown; and her twin brothers Paul Bloomer and Edward Bloomer, both of Watertown.

She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews, who will remember her with affection and gratitude.  Jeralyn is also lovingly remembered by her granddogs, Noodles and Pickles, who brought her comfort and smiles.

She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Gerald Bloomer of Watertown.

Jeralyn will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services are private.  Her family will hold a Celebration of Life this spring.
