Colleen Ann Reidy January 5, 1970 - April 14, 2024
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Colleen Ann Reidy, on April 14, 2024. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on January 5, 1970, she was the cherished daughter of the late Richard W. Reidy and Carol Ann Reidy.
Colleen was a vibrant spirit, the life of every gathering, and renowned for her generous heart. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1988 and pursued her passion for caring for others at Rivier College, where she earned a degree in Nursing in 1997.
Her career as a Registered Nurse was marked by her dedication and compassion, having worked at Tufts Health Plan and Palm Manor Nursing Care Facility, where she served in various capacities, including Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing.
Prior to her illness, Colleen's love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for hiking and visiting her favorite beaches in Newburyport. She was an avid traveler with a great eye for photography, capturing beautiful moments that reflected her zest for life. Music brought immense joy to Colleen; she loved cruising with her car windows down, music blasting, embodying her favorite motto, “Life is good.”
A culinary enthusiast, Colleen expressed her love through her delightful dishes, believing deeply that food was her love language. She was a beacon of kindness, often extending a helping hand to anyone in need.
Left to honor Colleen and remember her love are her brother, Scott Reidy, and his wife, Amy, of Pelham; her sisters, Kathleen Gabriel of Watertown and Shalia Gwiazda and her husband, Jeff, of Andover; along with her adored nieces and nephews, Zachary, Caitlin, Alexandra, Molly, Hannah, Grace, Ben, Ellie, Jack, and Gabriela. She will also be dearly missed by family members Corey, Jared, and Jonathan.
Colleen was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, affectionately known as Nana and Gunka.
